A Few of My Favorite ATL Restaurants So Far

A Few of My Favorite ATL Restaurants So Far

After the class went to Wrecking Bar, I was reflecting on all the great restaurants in the Atlanta area. The Wrecking Bar was such a great experience, so I was surprised I had never heard of it. Since there are so many options, it's sometimes are hard to choose, so I decided to share some of my favorite places.

Gunshow- This restaurant is one of my favorite and most unique restaurant experiences to date. There are multiple chefs that each cook a dish and personally come around to each table to serve it. They do shared portions, which is great to try multiple entrée options. I came here for a firm dinner and would not recommend for an intimate or business setting though, since you are at communal tables and the music is loud, so it was almost impossible to talk.

KR Steakbar- I am obsessed with the food here. I came here for a firm dinner where everyone did a shared Chef’s Pick option. The brussel sprouts are out of control delicious. I also tried spinalis steak for the first time here and was blown away.  The tonnarelli sounded like a very simple and plain pasta, with just a light cheese and black pepper, but it was absolutely incredible. Truly everything that comes out of the kitchen was exceptional. Although this is a more expensive place, I highly recommend for business or graduation dinners or when your parents come to town.

Ladybird- This place wins simply because of the atmosphere.  I bike on the Beltine often and love stopping here on my trip for a snack or drink. It has a great outdoor “campfire” area for socializing after your meal. Although it has a very laid back, outdoor atmosphere during the day, the night scene can be a fancier spot for a girl’s/guy’s night out. Try the Navajo Fry Bread- you won’t be sorry.

Two Urban Licks- With a patio overlooking the Beltline, it’s a great spot for a dinner date or brunch with friends. The salmon chips are must have- they are famous for them. We accidentally missed them the first time I went, and heard so much about them from friends  after that we went back just to try them. It was definitely worth it.

Rumi’s Kitchen- I had never tried Persian food before going to Rumi’s Kitchen, and it was a perfect first exposure. It is a great Middle Eastern escape, with a turquoise-tiled open kitchen backdrop. They are all about the spices here, even bring large seasoning bowls to the tables, which makes all of their meat kabob options incredible.

·      Loews restaurant- the best salad bar around
·      Radial Café- Great farm to table experience, with a farm house look
